Hey man im glad you are safe from that jump and wish u best of luck on all your next jumps i want to ask u im really intersted in taking aff course but honestly after seeing your video i got little bit worried although i only jumped once with someone behind my back it was fun and i want to jump alone what do you think should i go for it ?
Thank you man. Nobody can tell you if you should jump or not. You did a tandem jump and you loved it. It all comes down to you, what your gut feeling is telling you. You should ask yourself is it worth the risk? Do you want to learn? Skydiving is a beautiful experience but it all comes down to personal preference.
@@alexnovicov well my guts says i need to go for it :) so i think i will but i have few more question is there anyway i can contact you rather than youtube if you are ok with it 🌹 thank alot

Let me guess, you are going to try to climb mount Everest next...
Wrong guess mate, actually just finished running a 100km race in Snowdonia... so now mount Everest. What about yourself? What adventures are you doing on UA-cam?
Gosh I wish tunnels were some normal DZ thing. I think the training that could be done in one is so important for new timers. I am planning on getting my license this year but legit there are no tunnels in my area, but one two hours away in Chicago. I’m a bit light weight just barely at 120 so I’m a little nervous about my tiny self not being able to find the sweet spot when staying stable. Hopefully it isn’t a problem at all and I’m able to go through it with no worries, but I definitely would like to take one day to try the tunnel and get a good idea of what I need to be doing before I decide to jump out on my own.
If you fail an early level you could have went to the tunnel anyways. I strongly suggest tunnel time. It helped me be stable and altitude-aware at all levels.
@@user-bn9xy2on8i definitely what I was thinking. Thanks for help, man. Hope your journey has been great too.

Instructor was unable to control student AFF! Lack of attitude and agility!
He did it, not at the first try . The student was spinning so fast so it was expected to see something like that . After some seconds later he approached and grabbed that guy. And probably he wasn't an aff instructor , so many people uses that suit when required not only students.
@@joedorsey-mu5bnsometimes is hard even for the instructors to approach the student. This is why he waited for the right moment. Better catch the student at 4-5k feets and deploy than risk taking a hit that sends you unconscious.

Ohh wow 😮 thank you so much 🙏🏻 I’m very grateful for your comment made my day 🙏🏻
Very interesting information and needed.. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much 🙏🏻 I’m glad you found it interesting
I see you passed in portugal. Do you think you got off to bad start in Spain bc of bad instructors?
I think it was my fault yes but I think the instructor (he wasn’t from the DZ he is external) didn’t articulate and gave me space to ask questions and be free to ask
Just got my AFF done recently in Seville. Was this Empuriabrava ? Good to hear you got back up into the sky. A hard arch and toe taps would have fixed your spin.
Thanks man. I’m on my B License now nearly C. It was in Seville. Congrats on your AFF man 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 blue skies

What is the easiest way stop spinnig?dive or?
Please ask your instructor as I'm not :) the quick answer is you need to arch and relax.
I cannot wait to start my AFF, even if we mess up, atleast we chose to try and do it.
That’s a very good mentality to have. Good luck man, have fun and enjoy
Thats the mentality to which I will start my Aff as well and generally with all challenges in life.
What a shit show.
Man that's scary. I've read through some of the comments and see you did wind tunnel beforehand. How much time did you do? I'm traveling 8 hours each way just to do some tunnel time. I'm going to try to do as much time as possible but I'd imagine you can only do so much before you get burnt out and/or sore. I'll stay for a couple of days if needed. Then after my aff classroom session I'm told I'll be another 10 minutes.
It’s scary man but it’s all about the person. It doesn’t mean you will have the same issues. You might be relaxed and do great. Now im on my 106th jump and im very relaxed
A Hard Arch and a Heel Click would have solved that problem.
Having done an 8 way and my 106th jump last week I think that now I get it.
So I'm curious as someone who has only spent time in the wind tunnel. Do they not have you learn in the wind tunnel first how to stay stable, or is the actual jump from the sky just that much different and harder to control?
They suggest you do tunnel before AFF but it’s not a requirement - I did tunnel before I went but.. apparently it wasn’t enough. The second time I did tunnel and it worked out well (obviously)
congratulations man. great work 👍
Thank you very much man 🙏🏻
👏👏👏👏..... 💪🛩️ 🗽

Have you ever been in a video about thanking a grandma's caretaker?
Lol no I haven’t
Great work congrats! how much tunnel time did you have before AFF ?
Ohh man I’ve improved more than my AFF now got FS1 and B license 😂 I’ve done 30 minutes of tunnel after my skydiving accident and then went to do my AFF again 👌🏻
@@alexnovicov Thanks I will budget for 20 min tunnel, so expensive.
@@alexxxmmm1 yeah I know but it’s worth it. You will save in the future and not fail levels
@@alexnovicov thanks, last question would you recommend one longer 20-30 min session in the tunnel or take 2 or even 3 ten min sessions on different days?
@@alexxxmmm1 a defo 10 minutes x 3 sessions as you get closer to your AFF 1 week 10 minutes is better
When I was at somewhere close to Level 5, I can't remember now what activity I was supposed to be doing, but I wasn't supposed to be turning, and I went into a slow turn and I simply couldn't figure out why or how to stop the turn. After watching me for 10 seconds or so my jumpmaster moved in and stopped the turn but by then I hadn't done the other activities I was supposed to do and very soon it was time to pull, and I did. I failed the level, but it helped me learn how to remain stable in freefall.
Well done mate 👌🏻 that’s the most important thing, that you learned 🙏🏻
Fail is not important if you learn from it 😃
@@Igor-my6ml very true Igor 👏🏻🙏🏻
@@alexnovicov Did you continue your training?
@@Igor-my6ml I did my AFF again with another instructor. There is another video with my AFF. Im 77 jumps in today and B license
Hey bud, hope you've got your sky legs under you by now and if not then no worries. I had a buddy that had the 'spins' when I started jumping back in 2007. He did a little wind tunnel time (expensive yes, but so valuable at the same time) and it fixed his problem. He went on to be incredibly stable and very safe to jump with.
Hi man, thank you very much. I did tunnel and did my AFF again in January. 74 glorious jumps so far 🙏🏻🙌
Same for me, had a much worse spin than this on my 3rd jump. A bit of wind tunnel and now all is well and passed my licence. It's just part of learning.
@@scottmh that’s awesome 👏🏻 great you did tunnel and now got your license
Is tunnel time cheaper than jumping?
@@SkydiveHake it really depends on a lot there. it's really something you have to look into yourself and determine that personally. A licensed jumper can jump for ~$25 bucks per jump. A student costs a lot more.
Well done for not giving up bro. Funnily enough the exact same thing happened to me just last weekend on my 77th jump. I got into a tumble straight after exit and then a flat spin, upside down. I couldn't understand why I wasn't able to stop it but eventually at around 7,500ft I just arched harder, flipped over to my belly and deployed at 5,5000ft. So the answer (mostly) is the ARCH. I can see in the video you had de-arched and the wind was just tossing you around. If you had arched real hard and kept your legs and arms straight you prob would have stopped. Glad you kept going and now have you AFF! Blue skies bro! Yippee!
oh wow 77th jump! I'm on my 74th jump! Nice I'm glad you solved it. I guess the solution is to always arch isn't? Arch arch arch. Since then I never had a problem I guess I learned :)
@@alexnovicov Alex I don't normally have a problem with spinning but afterward I analysed what caused it... I wasn't wearing a suit, I was wearing a bulky hoodie and skinny jeans and wasn't prepared for the change in the aerodynamics. That caught me off guard but fortunately by arching harder than normal I was able to flatten out of it. There's always something to learn isn't there ;)
@@kevinnagle3492 ohhh wow that's why. I always jumped with a jumpsuit. I'm thinking of jumping without it this weekend. Will have that in mind. There is always something to learn :)
As an AFF student, i am wondering if i ever end up in the situation, what should I do to gain control and stability? Ps: I'm glad that you're ok and back on track 💪, keep it 💯 👌
Just pull man. Priority number 1: pull. But ask your instructor better.Thank you man 🙏🏻
@@alexnovicov thanks mate, appreciate it
@@saadraoui4205 you are welcome man 🙏🏻
I really don’t think ‘just pull’ is good advice. Take this question to your instructor. AFF students learn to turn and to stop spins before level 5. Arch, relax, watch your altimeter, keep visual contact with your instructor, and use your free fall time to practice what your learned on the ground. PS: Hope your AFF went well. Blue skies.
@@Jump-n-smash well that was the problem and why I didn’t pull on my next attempt and the AAD fired. In my mind I thought I need to stop, pause etc so that led me not to pull and obviously I lost altitude awareness. But like I said and you said an instructor should explain to you everything
